Yes, your phone is not real life. For goodness sake, try to talk to the person next to you. It's a hard day on the planet for all of us, spread a little affection. Or barring that, take a breath and be present right here.

love love LOVE everything about this timely, kind, tender reminder. Yes!

We need to breathe deeply and regularly right now. We need to invest in care, movement, laughter, joy, friendship. Because the work will be there, and we will remain dedicated to it. But we've got to get through this---together---and that means we have to practice care along the day. Yay for all the boundaries!!

Yes! This is great. The pause is essential because it gives us an instant of time where we can make a choice whether or not to continue what we’re doing, to do something else or to leave it all together.

We can also recognize that any emotion we have is happening in our bodies. So in the pause we can notice what we’re feeling just by asking ourselves: “where does it hurt?“

We can choose the quality of our experiencing.

Breathe is perfect for waiting in line at the bank when a spontaneous and poorly done downward dog would be hilarious but inappropriate (actual thought from my head while waiting at the bank).

I’ve taken to carrying a pocket sketchbook and pocket watercolour kit with me. I’m not even good at it or anything, I just find the intense concentration drawing/painting requires blocks out everything else.

I am finding myself wanting to escape from my phone and computer and be with life in front of me.
