I’m grateful to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and always a bit in awe listening to her or reading her. I’m a psychologist and remember vividly the day of her testimony and how many women ended up sharing their deeply personal reactions to her in our sessions. We were across the country, but the whole air had shifted.

Yes, same. The air *had* shifted. The ripple is real. Thanks for taking the time to share here Lizzie.

I remember how "Indelible in the Hippocampus..." hit me like a punch to the gut when I saw Dr. Ford testify. Thanks for this piece.

Thank you for taking the time to read and engage Lisa. Even hearing the phrase now takes me back to her testimony. That hippocampus, man!

I will never forget how eloquent and fiercely, quietly truthful she was. She took us all into that memory with her. There was no question. Trying to understand where we are now and whether any real progress has been made is the part that is hazy.

Yes. Thank you for reading and sharing Renee. Agree on the hazy *and* based on the responses I’m getting from this piece, I trust that we are changed (on the inside).

I’ll never forget that day. The significance of it can’t be understated, in my opinion.

It’s heartbreaking to hear how the aftermath was for her. It sounds like writing this was a balm to integrate the before, during, after and future. So indebted to her. 🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing this with us.
