I've reread this post 3 or 4 times now. I had never heard of the ACES index but when I took it I scored a 9 out 10 - 10 out of 10 if you include a technicality. Over the years, I have found my own way toward only sharing with those I need to, but your comments on accepting the paradox of public vs private (& inner) acceptance is new to me. I'm healthy overall, I function, but I have always felt like a paradox, an outsider. Thank you for addressing some of these Big T questions in a compassionate and realistic way that is not condescending or hollow.
