. Avni and I connected a few years ago through our shared friend, Eve Rodsky, when I was just starting out in the entrepreneurial space. On regular calls over the years, we’ve chatted and coached each other through so many different seasons — businesses starting and ending, writing, trying to figure out how to be a mom and take big swings in our careers. Avni is an OG in the family tech and AI space, and I trust her thoughtfulness and integrity in how she builds. I know AI is a hot topic right now and can stir lots of feelings. I would call myself “AI curious.” I have concerns about the ethics of AI and I don’t think we can put it back in the bottle. I think it’s so important to have folks like Avni, with varied backgrounds, identities, and life experiences in the AI space — not just tech bros with the same old CVs taking us to Mars or whatever.
