How moms can fight back now
Chamber of Mothers CEO Erin Erenberg on taking back our collective power.
Hi folks,
I became a “Founding Mother” of Chamber of Mothers — a non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization of mothers in the U.S. who are fighting to make institutional change — in 2021 during the fight for federal paid leave.
During that fraught time, a group of us came together because we were fed up and fired up — we wanted to create a lobby for mothers. We all had other jobs and responsibilities, and yet, we knew that mothers needed a collective voice. Chamber of Mothers (COM) was born on social media, but it quickly became a very real and powerful coalition of mothers across the country.
After nearly two years of working together virtually and getting to know each others passion and fire for this work, I was so thrilled to met Erin Erenberg, the CEO of COM, IRL in July 2023, when I joined her and others on The Hill in Washington DC to meet with lawmakers.
