The holidays can be so magical—and yes, as with any busy season, and any life, really, boundaries are the only way to protect your peace and allow yourself to enjoy. The idea that “things” will change (and that those changes will then “make” protecting our peace easier) is lovely, but also, how we justify putting others before ourselves.
